Ascendant in Virgo

Ascendant (shortened ASC) is basically the axis of the 1st house and is one of the three most important points of personal horoscope. It represents the most eastern point at the moment of our birth and the sign in which it appears is called »the rising sign«. If somebody, for example, is born exactly at sunrise, it means that the Sun and the Ascendant are in the same sign.

Ascendant is a very accurate point of personal horoscope and its position strongly influences all other elements of the horoscope. It is accurate, because it stays in one sign only for about two hours and makes the entire circle through the zodiac in one day. Therefore, even twins, despite born in short time intervals, can have different Ascendant position.

Ascendant represents your looks, your personality, presence, beginnings of your achievements, your individuality and way of expression – the way you dress, talk, walk, etc. It indicates the way you let or want others to see and perceive you. It also indicates your birth, it represents your body, health, in what way you start acting and tackle challenges, what your basic outlook and approach to life is. It shows your basic essence. It is similar to the Sun, but the Ascendant represents your karmic mission, the cohesive thread, the test you need to solve in this life.

You express best through your work; through something that has material and physical sense. That is why you are always tidying up, are involved in several businesses at once, solve crossword puzzles, sew – in short, your mind and mostly your hands need to be constantly busy with creating something constructive, more perfect, better.

You are never truly satisfied with the work you've done and it always seems to you that you just can't reach the right validation and profit.

Orderly, disciplined, critical

You are a carefully orderly and organized person and this reflects also in your outer appearance, in your work place and, of course, in your home. You are methodical and often hairsplitting and in your thoughts, you often dwell on completely unimportant problems, you blow them out of proportion and so create enormous obstacles on your path to success. On the other hand, you are able to create something new out of the old, something even better and more perfect.

You take care of your personal hygiene. You enjoy healthy food and altogether take good care of your body – if only this wouldn’t, as a rule, turn into a hypochondriac observation of your own body.

You are always observing your environment, although you are very reserved by nature. You analyze others and are critical at the same time, but you also do the same before and when you go to action. You have a youthful and a very photogenic look. You have the ability to notice other people's weaknesses and use them to your advantage.

You are a gentle and etheric person, sensitive, with vivid imagination and extremely strongly developed intuition. You have an enormous influence on others, although you don't act impetuously or don't at first glance appear to have such a power. You are attractive and have a pleasant and a somewhat liquid (not watery) appearance. You probably have very beautiful eyes (often of hazelnut or green color) and also a completely special look – perhaps mysterious, magnetic, etc. You are probably successful in acting, music, art, fashion, etc. and also spirituality.
